“20 Minutes from Eruku” — Man Reveals Bandits’ Next Target After Kwara Church Attack

A Nigerian man has taken to social media to reveal the location bandits targeted after the tragic attack on the Christ Apostolic Church in Eruku, Kwara State on November 18, 2025.

During the assault, gunmen opened fire just minutes into the evening service, killing three people and abducting approximately 38 congregants, who were later released.

The man, identified on X (formerly Twitter) as @Theyemiking, stated that the bandits launched another attack in Isapa, a town just a 20-minute drive from Eruku.

His post suggested that the previous abductions may have emboldened the attackers, as he wrote, “What you reward becomes culture. When would the government consider mercenaries instead of paying ransoms?”

The 38 abducted congregants were freed on November 23, 2025, a development announced by President Bola Tinubu, who commended the efforts of the security forces.

Kwara State Governor AbdulRahman AbdulRazaq also credited Tinubu’s personal intervention for the successful release of the victims.

The revelation about Isapa has reignited discussions on how best to prevent bandit attacks and whether ransom payments encourage repeat offenses.
