400-Level Nigerian Student Breaks Guinness World Record with 50-Metre Robe Sleeves
A Nigerian student, Samuel Chinecherem Ezeh, has made history by setting a Guinness World Record for creating a robe with an astonishing 50-metre-long sleeves.
The achievement was announced on the official Guinness World Records Facebook page, confirming that Samuel, 27, is a 400-level student at Chukwuemeka Odumegwu Ojukwu University. He also works as a fashion designer and tailor while pursuing his studies.
The Guinness World Records statement detailed:
“A fashion designer claimed a world record by creating a show-stopping robe with 50-metre sleeves. Samuel Chinecherem Ezeh from Nigeria designed and sewed the longest sleeves on a garment, at an astonishing 51.20 metres (167.97 ft) long. That’s longer than the Statue of Liberty is high (46.5 m; 152.5 ft) and longer than an Olympic-size swimming pool (50 m; 164 ft).”
Samuel revealed that he hopes to take the garment on a global tour to showcase his craftsmanship and inspire others with his work.
