Anambra Governor Soludo Hasn’t Declared Intention for Second Term, Says State Govt

The Anambra State government has clarified that Governor Chukwuma Soludo has not announced plans to run for a second term, contrary to speculation.

According to Commissioner for Information Law Mefor, Soludo is focused on implementing policies to develop the state.

Mefor expressed his willingness to persuade Soludo to run, citing his impressive performance and the zoning formula that favors him. He believes Soludo’s verifiable achievements and scorecard would secure his reelection.

This development comes amidst ongoing political discussions in Anambra State, including the Labour Party’s leadership and factionalization concerns.
