Bobrisky Reportedly Arrested at Seme Border Trying to Flee Nigeria

A popular crossdresser Idris Okuneye, known as Bobrisky, has allegedly been apprehended by security officials at the Seme border. The news was disclosed by social media activist Martins Ortse, also known as VeryDarkMan (VDM).

Reports suggest that the arrest took place on Monday as Bobrisky was purportedly making an attempt to escape to Benin Republic to avoid an ongoing investigation by the House of Representatives.

According to VDM, who shared the information through an Instagram video, Bobrisky was intercepted by Nigerian Immigration Services while attempting to cross the border.

“Bobrisky has been arrested this morning at Seme border while trying to enter Benin Republic to escape the current investigation by the House of Reps. He is allegedly being held by the Nigerian immigration,” VDM revealed in the video.

The controversial figure has been embroiled in a scandal following the release of an audio recording by VDM. In the recording, Bobrisky purportedly confessed to bribing officials from the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) with N15 million. Additionally, Bobrisky claimed in the recording that he did not serve his six-month jail sentence at Kirikiri prison, attributing his release to a powerful godfather.

These revelations triggered a probe by the House of Representatives, but Bobrisky failed to appear before the committee, citing illness as the reason for his absence.

At present, there has been no official confirmation from Nigerian authorities regarding Bobrisky’s reported arrest. Further details on the situation are awaited as the story unfolds.
