UNN Alumni holds solidarity movement against the appointment of a New Vice-Chancellor.

The UNN alumni movement led by Ambassador Clinton Ogbonna, a graduate of political science from University of Nigeria, Nsukka at the University of Nigeria Enugu Campus (UNEC), on 18th December, 2024, held a solidarity movement for the need to conduct an election concerning the office of the Vice chancellor.

Amb. Ogbonna in an interview with ESUT Monitor Newspaper stated that the VC has less than 15 days to stay in office and with that he intends to put a successor without following the normal procedure (Conducting an election) with the UNN governing council and also moving the motion, to be seconded by another person, as that should be the right process.

He further stated that the movement was a peaceful one and their intentions to speak peacefully with the Pro – chancellor, who will listen to them and guide them properly.
