PDP Crisis: Anyanwu insists He Remains National Secretary Despite Governor’s Endorsement Of Rival.

The National Secretary of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Senator Samuel Anyanwu, has reaffirmed his position despite the PDP Governors’ Forum endorsing his rival. Anyanwu maintained that the forum’s decision does not affect his status as National Secretary.

In a telephone interview, Anyanwu emphasized that the PDP Governors’ Forum is not a recognized party organ. He noted that the forum’s actions may have been influenced by Governor Peter Mbah of Enugu State.

Anyanwu cited the Appeal Court’s order for a stay of execution of an earlier judgment, which he claims favors him. He also pointed out that the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) recognizes him as the legitimate National Secretary.

Anyanwu remains resolute, insisting that he will continue to carry out his duties as National Secretary.
