UN Human Rights Council to Focus on Environment at 58th Session

The 58th Regular Session of the Human Rights Council (HRC58) is convening in Geneva from February 24 to April 4, 2025. Environment-related issues are expected to be a key focus of the session.

The Council held an organizational meeting on February 10, 2025.

Prior to the opening of HRC58, the 7th intersessional meeting on human rights and the 2030 Agenda was held on February 11, 2025, addressing the role of human rights in reforming the sovereign debt architecture.

The Geneva Environment Network and partners convened an information-sharing session to develop synergies among stakeholders and improve outreach on the environmental agenda of HRC58.

This session discussed planned environment-related activities, events, publications, and exhibitions.
