Nedu Clarifies Departure from Honest Bunch Podcast, Denies Being Fired

Nigerian media personality Nedu has clarified that he was not fired from The Honest Bunch podcast, but rather stepped away due to personal attacks.

Nedu’s exit from the podcast was surrounded by controversy and speculation, but he has now set the record straight.

At a recent press briefing in Lagos, Nedu explained that he decided to step back from the podcast to protect himself from personal attacks.

This development comes after a controversy surrounding a recent episode featuring reality TV star Deeone, who alleged that social media critic VeryDarkMan was attracted to men.

VeryDarkMan had accused Nedu of being behind the allegations made against him by Deeone, claiming that Nedu had been persistently requesting his appearance on the podcast since 2024 and allegedly offering to buy him a car as an incentive.

Following VeryDarkMan’s counter-accusations, Nedu announced his departure from the podcast, leading to speculations that he was fired by the producers.

However, Nedu has now denied these claims, stating that he chose to step away to avoid further personal attacks.

“Let me clarify that I wasn’t fired from Honest Bunch Podcast. I decided to step away when the attacks became personal. So that the show can go on,” Nedu said.
