Abdullahi Umar Ganduje, has appointed a former National President of the Nigeria Union of Journalists (NUJ), Malam Muhammad Garba, as his Chief of Staff.

Garba’s appointment was announced in a statement by the APC Director of Publicity, Bala Ibrahim, yesterday in Abuja.

Garba was Kano State Commissioner for Information, Youth, Sports and Culture, and later as Commissioner for Information and Internal Affairs from 2015 to 2023 when Ganduje was governor.

He was a Federal Commissioner at the Fiscal Responsibility Commission from 2011 to 2014; Member and Convener of Federal Government’s Subsidy and Reinvestment and Empowerment Committee (SURE-P) between 2012 and 2015.
