by Engr. Ugwu Samuel Kanayochukwu

Since 1960, Nigerians have known different leadership of notable caliber, exposure, educational prowess and leadership strata, which have left the country at the level of development, known globally today.

It has been a ritual that lots of promises are made during campaign but are quickly forgotten, immediately sworn into office.

Since the creation of Enugu state and democratic government ,there have been lots of representatives, representing Enugu North and South federal Constituency, but one would be struggling to identify the presence of the representatives, for the constitutents .
What could be accounted for are the numerous chieftaincy titles bagged and the luxury appearances at different hotels/resorts, expensive cars, mansions owned within and outside Nigeria and countless foreign trips. While leaving the Constituents at the mercy of travelling outside the Constituency, searching for greener pastures.
Could one boldly say that the Constituency had a representation in the just concluded ninth assembly? I doubt. This gave birth to the national drive, to unmask personalities who were known to be competent in character and great leadership traits, into the leadership of Nigeria .
