Vintage Footage Shows a Young Rema’s First Arrival in Lagos for His Pioneering Afrobeats Journey

Divine Ikubor, also known as Rema, the youngest sensation of Afrobeats music worldwide, has become an inspiration to many as a recently surfaced throwback video shows his arrival in Lagos several years ago.

This resurfacing of his past has once again brought the musician into the spotlight. He recently wowed audiences with his performance of his hit track “Calm Down” at the 2023 Ballon d’.

“Calm Down” and its remix have received numerous accolades, earning Rema six nominations for the upcoming 2023 Billboard Music Awards.

In a viral video, Rema can be seen arriving in Lagos with two friends on September 26th, some years ago.

Since then, Rema has transformed from a nobody to one of the most prominent and youngest faces in Afrobeats music, gaining global recognition along the way.
