Burna Boy, reveals the underlying reasons for the strong aversion that some Nigerians have towards him.

Burna Boy, the Grammy-winning Nigerian artist whose real name is Damini Ogulu, recently provided an explanation as to why he believes he is often disliked within the music industry.

According to him, he is “hated” because he perceives himself to have no equals or superiors in his field.

On Saturday, Burna Boy took to his social media handle to express this sentiment, stating, “Hated by my inferiors for having no superiors,” accompanied by a photo of himself.

It’s worth noting that Burna Boy has consistently stated that he faces hatred from Nigerians as well. In one of the tracks titled ‘Thank You’ from his latest album, I Told Them, he expresses frustration about not receiving enough gratitude and recognition from his fellow countrymen despite consistently making Nigeria proud “every chance I get.”

Burna Boy believes that instead of acknowledging and appreciating his significant contributions to Nigerian music, some individuals choose to propagate false rumors.
