Yemi Alade takes the stage to kick-off AFCON 2023 with an electrifying performance.

Nigerian vocalist Yemi Alade delivered a performance at the inaugural event of the 2023 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) in Ivory Coast on Saturday.

The opening ceremony occurred at the Stade Olympique Alessane Ouattara in Abidjan.

To commemorate AFCON 2023, the singer collaborated with Egyptian rapper Mohamed Ramadan and Magic System to create the official song ‘AKWAABA.’

Earlier, Alade had publicly confirmed her participation in the ceremony.
