Father Alleges Soliders Pursued and Fatally Shot His Son in Zaria.

Malam Mohammed, the father of 19-year-old Ismail Mohammed, alleges that soldiers killed his son in Samaru Zaria on Tuesday.

According to Mohammed, soldiers who were dispersing people followed his son to their home, shot through the door, and killed him. Mohammed was away from home when the incident occurred and only arrived an hour later.

The Nigerian Army has promised to investigate the death of Ismail Mohammed, who was allegedly shot by a soldier on patrol.

Major General MLD Saraso, the General Officer Commanding (GOC) 1 Division, Nigerian Army, Kaduna, visited the deceased’s family and assured them of a thorough investigation. He urged the community to remain peaceful and invited anyone with evidence to come forward.

The incident occurred around 9:00 a.m. at the deceased’s residence, where a soldier allegedly shot at the gate, killing Ismail.

The deceased’s mother, Zainab Sani, stated that her son had just completed his final secondary school examination and was seeking admission to further his education when he was killed.
