Aba Man Passes Away in Suspected Hit-and-Run Ahead of EgyptAir Flight

According to Candy, the man’s lifeless body was discovered on the airport road, with early indications suggesting a hit-and-run incident. He had been scheduled to check in for a 2 p.m. EgyptAir flight but was found dead by 8 a.m.

Further details revealed that the man’s personal belongings, including his phone, were missing and likely stolen. A video shared by Candy showed the man’s international passport and scattered personal items on the ground, helping to identify the deceased as Chukwuemeka Aniawona from Aba, in Nigeria’s South East region. His date of birth is October 27, 1985.

“I saw a male body laying lifeless today on the airport road. It was likely a hit-and-run incident. He was to check in for his flight due for takeoff at 2 p.m. via EgyptAir. His phone wasn’t in sight, so it must’ve been stolen. Attached is his international passport.
His backpack was torn, his clothes scattered on the floor. They probably went away with his money too. Broken bones and scraps of the vehicle that had the collision with him were on the floor.” – Candy

The incident has drawn attention on social media, highlighting concerns about road safety and security around airport areas.
