Actress Adaeze Eluke Speaks Out Against Assault on Female NYSC Member in Anambra.

Nollywood actress Adaeze Eluke has expressed her outrage over a disturbing viral video depicting the assault of a female National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) member in Anambra State.

The footage, which emerged online on Tuesday, August 19, captured armed men allegedly belonging to the Agunechemba Vigilante Group, also known as Operation Udo Ga-Achi, invading a lodge housing corps members.

During the attack, one member, identified as Jennifer Edema Elohor, was violently beaten and stripped despite presenting her valid NYSC identification card.

Eyewitnesses reported that the assailants accused the corps members of engaging in internet fraud, commonly referred to as “Yahoo Yahoo.”

Even after confirming their NYSC status through uniforms and ID cards, the victims continued to face brutal physical and verbal harassment, including threats of sexual assault.

Reacting to the incident, Adaeze Eluke condemned the barbaric act and expressed her shock over the cruel treatment of the corps members. In her social media post, she simply wrote:

“Totally Unacceptable.”

The video sparked widespread outrage online, with users sharing their thoughts:

  • @everyoungebony: “Stripping women naked seems to be becoming the norm in Nigeria. This is heartbreaking.”
  • @stock_optionstrade: “Thank you to the person who blurred the video before posting it. These men should face female soldiers, not just police intervention.”
  • @ndy_blaq: “Why must a woman be stripped in every situation? Multiple slaps aren’t enough?”
  • @julietvedoo: “No one deserves this kind of treatment, regardless of the circumstances.”
  • @emmwahb: “No matter the offense, no one should be subjected to this humiliation.”

The incident has reignited conversations about the need for stronger protections for women and NYSC members, and many have called for strict legal action against perpetrators of such abuse.
