Actress Mobimpe Slams Fake YouTube Channel for Stealing Her Content: “You Will Not Go Scot-Free”
Nollywood actress and producer Mobimpe Adedimeji has raised alarm over a YouTube channel allegedly impersonating her and reposting her original content without permission.
In an emotional outburst shared online, Mobimpe expressed her frustration and exhaustion, describing the act as intellectual theft and calling on her fans and followers to report the impersonating channel “Mobimpewrite’s Stories” for violating her creative rights.
“I’m tired. I’m fed up,” she wrote. “Someone created a YouTube channel just to copy everything I do video for video, poster for poster. She waits for me to post, then uploads the exact same thing, tricking people into believing it’s me.”
The actress was particularly hurt when the impersonator allegedly copied an entire birthday tribute post she had written for her late mother, re-uploading it word-for-word.
“That’s not inspiration. That’s disrespectful,” she emphasized. “She’s gaining followers, likes, and comments from my work my sweat, my ideas, my creativity.”
Mobimpe revealed that her team has already tried to report the impersonating account to YouTube but has been met with resistance.
“This person is determined to keep stealing. And she’s not the only one. But I’m starting with her.”
She issued a direct warning to the impersonator, stating, “You will not go scot-free. You are deceiving people. You will be caught soon.”
Mobimpe called on fans to mass-report the page and urged anyone with technical or legal expertise to help bring the impersonator to justice.
“I built MOBIMPE TV with tears, passion, and consistency. I won’t let anyone hijack what I’ve poured my heart and soul into.”
Her post has since gone viral, drawing sympathy and support from fellow creatives and fans alike who have joined the call to take action against content theft in the digital space.
