Actress Uche Ogbodo Slams GUO Logistics Over Alleged Theft and Poor Customer Service
Popular Nollywood actress Uche Ogbodo has publicly accused GUO Logistics of misconduct, alleging theft and highly unprofessional behaviour in their handling of customer deliveries.
In a candid Instagram post, Ogbodo recounted a troubling experience involving a parcel sent to her from Abuja, which took five days to arrive. Despite the delay, she claimed the logistics company failed to notify her of the delivery. Concerned about the status of the item, she sent her personal assistant armed with her ID and a signed note to GUO’s Ajah branch to retrieve the parcel.
However, the staff reportedly refused to release the package, insisting on a delivery pin that Ogbodo stated she never received. After her assistant waited for over an hour with no resolution, Ogbodo took matters into her own hands and visited the office herself. There, she says the staff initially denied the package’s arrival, only to later admit it had indeed arrived but she would need to pay demurrage fees.
According to the actress, she pleaded with the staff to waive the fee, emphasizing that she had never been notified about the package. Her appeals were rejected, and her request to speak to a manager was also allegedly dismissed, with staff telling her to come back the next day. She noted that other employees at the office appeared complicit, showing no concern for her complaints.
Ogbodo expressed deep frustration over what she described as a recurring issue with logistics companies in Nigeria particularly those on the Lagos mainland where customer parcels are mishandled or allegedly stolen. She urged GUO Logistics to investigate the matter and hold its staff accountable.
“I run a business and send out many packages through logistics companies. Sadly, I’ve lost so many of them that I often have to refund my customers or send replacements. On this occasion with GUO, it was extremely frustrating not to get any updates or cooperation. It’s not just the smaller delivery services now even big names like GUO are involved in these shady practices,” she lamented.
The actress called on GUO Logistics to take corrective action and ensure that such lapses in professionalism and integrity are addressed.
