Anambra Guber Aspirant Valentine Ozigbo Dumps Labour Party.

Valentine Ozigbo, a former governorship aspirant of the Labour Party in Anambra State, has resigned from the party.

Ozigbo, who is seeking to become the governor of Anambra State, cited his unwavering commitment to the greater vision for the state as the reason for his resignation .

Although Ozigbo did not disclose his next move, speculation suggests that he may join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) to pursue his gubernatorial ambition.

In his resignation statement, Ozigbo expressed his deep respect for Peter Obi’s leadership and the principles they shared, while also notifying the National Chairman of his decision .

Ozigbo’s decision to leave the Labour Party may be attributed to his lost admiration for the party and the fear that Obi, as the national leader of the Labour Party, may not support his candidature.

Ozigbo had joined the Labour Party in 2022, leaving his former party, the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), and had remained loyal to Obi until his resignation .
