Anambra Political Tensions Rise as Ekwunife Snubs Governor Soludo at Public Event

Political tensions in Anambra State have escalated ahead of the November governorship election as APC Deputy Governorship candidate Uche Ekwunife reportedly snubbed Governor Chukwuma Soludo at a recent public gathering.

The feud reportedly began when Governor Soludo questioned the validity of Ekwunife’s academic credentials, including her PhD.

In response, Ekwunife criticized Soludo’s leadership, highlighting alleged failures in governance and security across the state. She also made personal claims about his hygiene.

The conflict intensified when Ekwunife alleged that Soludo’s wife, Nonye Soludo, had an affair with the late former governor Chinwoke Mbadinuju, raising questions about the paternity of some of her children.

Mrs. Soludo quickly issued a 72-hour ultimatum demanding a public apology and retraction, threatening legal action if ignored. She also suggested a DNA test and challenged Ekwunife to take an oath of chastity.

Ekwunife, however, dismissed the ultimatum, insisting that any explanations should be directed to Governor Soludo, not his wife.
