APC Governors Visit Buhari in Kaduna — Affirm Party’s Unity and Strength

The Progressive Governors Forum (PGF), which consists of governors from the All Progressives Congress (APC), has reiterated the party’s unity and strength, asserting that it remains Nigeria’s largest and most stable political party, prepared for continued success in the upcoming 2027 general elections.

Hope Uzodinma, the PGF Chairman and Governor of Imo State, made this statement during a visit to former President Muhammadu Buhari at his residence in Kaduna.

Following a private meeting with Buhari, Uzodinma addressed the media, describing the visit as a sign of solidarity and cohesion within the APC.

Uzodinma noted that the visit, which occurred after the Ramadan, Lent, and Eid-el-Fitr celebrations, was significant in honoring the former president, who led the party for two terms.“President Buhari is a father figure for us in the APC. We are glad to see him in good health and spirits,” Uzodinma said.

He expressed appreciation for Buhari’s leadership and his influence in constructing a cohesive political framework that allowed the APC to maintain power.

“The APC is gaining strength and has the capability to govern Nigeria efficiently. This strength is derived from our commitment to broad consultations and prioritizing national interests over personal ambitions,” he stated.
