APC Governorship Hopeful in Nasarawa Advocates Peace and Issue-Based Campaign Ahead of 2027 Polls

Prof. Mohammad Sani Haruna, former Executive Vice Chairman of the National Agency for Science and Engineering Infrastructure (NASENI), has urged political stakeholders in Nasarawa State to maintain peace and cooperation among parties ahead of the 2027 general elections.

Speaking during a meeting with All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders from the 14 electoral wards of Nassarawa Eggon Local Government Area on Tuesday, Prof. Haruna emphasized the importance of unity, issue-based campaigning, and support for the less privileged in society.

Highlighting his achievements while at NASENI, the APC governorship aspirant noted his contributions in providing solar power, transformers, laboratory equipment, boreholes, and youth empowerment initiatives, including payment of WAEC and NECO fees. He assured stakeholders that, if elected in 2027, he would prioritise optimal use of resources, boost the power sector to drive jobs and business, and strengthen agriculture and mineral sectors.

Prof. Haruna also called on eligible voters to obtain their Permanent Voter Cards from Independent National Electoral Commission-designated centres to ensure credible elections. He further stressed the importance of skills acquisition for youth and women to foster self-reliance and sustainable state development.

Chairman of APC in Nassarawa Eggon LGA, Mathew Duniya, commended Prof. Haruna for his past initiatives to support the less privileged, while the Chairman of the APC Stakeholders Organising Committee, Suleiman Angbashim, pledged to mobilize support for his 2027 governorship ambition.

The aspirant encouraged all supporters to focus on an issues-based campaign, promoting peace and progress rather than personal attacks, as part of his vision for a united and developed Nasarawa State.
