APC Leader Asserts No Opposition Party Can Challenge Tinubu in 2027.

An influential member of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ambassador Abayomi Nurain Mumuni, has stated that no existing opposition party is equipped to unseat President Bola Tinubu in the upcoming 2027 elections.

In a statement released on Friday, Mumuni emphasized that the current conditions reveal a lack of well-structured opposition parties able to mount a serious challenge against the Tinubu administration.

He pointed out that numerous opposition parties are struggling with internal cohesion and do not possess the adequate organization or resources necessary for a credible presidential campaign.

Mumuni further noted that without a united front and clear, voter-friendly policies, these parties face significant obstacles ahead of the election.

Historically, effective opposition movements have required a strong grassroots presence and a shared vision, which he believes is currently lacking among opposition groups.

He highlighted the discerning nature of the Nigerian electorate, which favors reliable leaders, suggesting that without visible engagement and trust-building, challenging the incumbent could be exceedingly difficult.

Mumuni concluded that given the prevailing political landscape, it may be wise for political players to consider collaborating with the president temporarily, as such collaboration could facilitate positive governance while strategically preparing for future electoral competitions.
