APC Slams El-Rufai as ‘Political Clown’ Over Criticism of Tinubu’s Leadership

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has issued a scathing response to former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir El-Rufai, after he warned that Nigeria’s social cohesion could collapse if President Bola Tinubu secures a second term in 2027.

Speaking at an African Democratic Congress (ADC) event in Sokoto, El-Rufai accused the Tinubu-led administration of lacking clear direction.

In reaction, APC National Publicity Secretary, Felix Morka, dismissed El-Rufai’s comments and described him as a “political clown” struggling to stay relevant after being sidelined from ministerial appointments.

“His speedy fall from political influence to comic relief deserves forensic study,” Morka said in a statement.

He accused El-Rufai and his ADC allies of having no concrete ideas or contributions to national development, saying they operate purely on “ego, entitlement, and ambition.”

Morka further challenged El-Rufai to propose practical solutions if he disagrees with the current administration’s policies. “If they hate our reforms so much, let them show us how they plan to restore subsidies or fix the economy without further damage,” he added.

Despite the criticisms, Morka expressed confidence that Nigerians will continue to support the APC and reelect President Tinubu in 2027.
