BBNaija S10: Lady Reveals How Friend Was Disqualified Just Hours Before Show Launch

A woman identified as Tamar Canada Roberts has taken to Facebook to share how her friend was disqualified from participating in the tenth season of Big Brother Naija, themed “10 over 10,” just hours before the show’s premiere.

The latest season of BBNaija officially launched with a two-day introduction on July 26 and 27, 2025, featuring 29 contestants. According to Tamar, her friend had made it through all the selection stages and was scheduled to be among the male housemates unveiled during the launch.

However, Tamar revealed that her friend was disqualified around 4 a.m. on the eve of the show. The disqualification was allegedly triggered by a violation of BBNaija’s confidentiality rules after a post surfaced on his social media page hinting at his participation.

Tamar recounted how someone created a social media account in his name, and his new handler (a cousin) reached out to her, expressing concern. She initially hoped it was a parody account and advised caution.

“His cousin texted me on February 25, saying he posted about going into the house. That’s a clear violation,” she stated.

The revelation has stirred conversation online, with many sympathizing over the missed opportunity.
