BBNaija’s Tacha Criticizes Her Generation, Calls Young Nigerians “Cowardly” and “Too Comfortable”
Reality TV star and media personality, Tacha, has stirred controversy on social media with her blunt remarks about the current generation of Nigerian youths.
In a strongly worded post on X (formerly Twitter), the former Big Brother Naija housemate labeled her peers as “the dumbest and most cowardly generation,” accusing them of choosing comfort and emigration over national activism.
Tacha lamented the lack of political engagement and courage among today’s youth, contrasting them with past generations who, according to her, risked their lives to fight for change.
She referenced historical figures like former President Muhammadu Buhari, who took part in a military coup in his twenties, as examples of youth who dared to confront the system head-on. In her words, today’s young people are more concerned with “Japa” (relocating abroad), trending tweets, and social media clout than they are with the future of the country.
Defending her own activism, Tacha stated that she has consistently used her platform to speak up and challenge the status quo. “I speak, I show up, I don’t stay silent,” she emphasized. Her comments have sparked intense debate online, with many applauding her courage while others criticized her harsh tone.
