Bisola Aiyeola Opens Up on Marriage A Candid Reflection on Partnership and Personal Growth
Actress Bisola Aiyeola recently opened up about her evolving views on marriage in a candid interview on the Dear Ife podcast hosted by Ifedayo Agoro. At 39 years old, Bisola shared that she is no longer keen on actively pursuing marriage.
She explained that while she loves love and appreciates its beauty, she has come to terms with being single not out of bitterness but from prioritizing self-awareness, peace, financial independence, and emotional balance. Bisola noted, “Marriage is not a do-or-die affair. There are so many more things one can aspire to be besides getting married. I am not desperate for marriage.”
She added that she had set an age marker for having children and has now passed that age without having a man in her life, so she is not actively looking forward to marriage. Financial stability and personal freedom are now her priorities, allowing her to pursue her passions, including traveling the world, with or without a partner.
Bisola also acknowledged the challenges of solitude during emotional lows, preferring to isolate herself to process her feelings privately. Her decision reflects a mature perspective on marriage, emphasizing individual fulfillment over societal expectations or urgency to wed.
