Bobby Maris Stirs Controversy After Urging Women to Undergo BBL Surgery for Confidence
Nigerian actor and singer Bobby Maris, who is married to Nollywood star Uche Ogbodo, has sparked mixed reactions online after encouraging women to consider cosmetic surgery if it makes them feel more confident.
In a video posted on Instagram, Bobby stated that there is nothing wrong with undergoing body enhancement procedures like Brazilian Butt Lift (BBL), liposuction, or tummy tuck—especially for women who can afford them. He emphasized that such surgeries can help women regain their confidence, particularly after childbirth.
“If you know you can afford a BBL, tummy tuck, liposuction, go and do it, especially after having kids,” he said. “Because if you don’t, your husband might eventually leave you for a baddie. If you have money, fix your body oo. No fear. You only live once.”
His comment came shortly after his wife, Uche Ogbodo, revealed that she was preparing to undergo another Lipo 360 procedure, asking fans to keep her in their prayers.
While some social media users praised Bobby for being open-minded and supportive of his wife’s choices, others criticized his remarks, arguing that such statements could encourage women to undergo risky cosmetic procedures to please their partners.
Despite the backlash, Bobby Maris has remained firm in his stance, insisting that women should have the freedom to make choices that boost their self-esteem.
