Bride Reportedly Ends Marriage Two Weeks After ₦37 Million Abuja Wedding, Says She Needs to ‘Find Herself’

A Nigerian bride has sparked widespread conversation online after reportedly ending her marriage just two weeks after a lavish ₦37 million wedding in Abuja.

The story, which has gone viral on X (formerly Twitter), was shared by user @AgboObinnaya, who revealed that the groom, identified only as Chuka, spent millions to organize what was described as a “luxury full wedding package.”

The grand celebration was said to have taken place at a top-tier event centre in Gwarimpa, complete with drone coverage, a live saxophonist, customised souvenirs, and other premium features that brought the total cost to around ₦37 million.

Despite the extravagance, the fairytale reportedly ended in heartbreak barely two weeks later. According to the viral post, the bride shocked her husband by abruptly calling off the marriage, stating that she needed to “find herself.”

The revelation has triggered a flood of reactions across social media. Many users expressed disbelief that such an expensive ceremony could collapse so quickly, while others speculated about possible emotional or personal reasons behind the bride’s decision.

A viral post capturing the details read:

“Omo! Chuka spent ₦37 million on his wedding — event centre in Gwarimpa, saxophonist, drone shots, customised souvenirs; the full wedding package. Two weeks later, his bride called it off. She said she needed to ‘find herself.’”

The incident has since dominated online discussions, with many Nigerians debating whether modern relationships are becoming more about appearances than commitment.
