Buhari’s Granddaughter, Halima Junaid, Preparing for Wedding in Kaduna

Halima Amira Junaid, granddaughter of the late former President Muhammadu Buhari, is set to walk down the aisle with Walid Shehu Mauzu in a high-profile wedding scheduled to hold in Kaduna State.

Halima is the daughter of Nana Hadiza, one of Buhari’s daughters from his earlier marriage. Nana Hadiza is currently married to former Attorney-General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami (SAN), as his third wife.

Before her union with Malami, she was married to Captain Junaid Abdullahi, with whom she shares six children, including the bride-to-be.

The grand wedding fatiha will take place on August 30, 2025, and will be preceded by a series of colorful cultural and social festivities such as a bridal soiree, Kamu ceremony, and an elaborate dinner night.

However, close observers noted that several members of the former first family were absent from some of the pre-wedding activities, sparking quiet conversations about internal family dynamics.
