Charly Boy Slams Political Defectors to ADC, Calls 2027 Coalition a “Repackaged Failure”

Veteran musician and social activist, Charly Boy, has taken a bold swipe at a new political coalition formed under the African Democratic Congress (ADC), describing it as a gathering of “rebranded failures” seeking to deceive Nigerians ahead of the 2027 general elections.

In a strongly-worded post on his official Facebook page, Charly Boy criticized the alliance which reportedly includes defectors from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Labour Party (LP), Social Democratic Party (SDP), and disgruntled members of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) accusing them of being the same political actors responsible for Nigeria’s decades of hardship.

“These are the same people who ruined the country,” he wrote. “Now they wear new agbada and claim to bring change? Don’t be fooled.”

He questioned the sincerity of the coalition’s motives, warning that not every political alliance signifies progress.

“Are they fighting for the people or just fighting to sit where their enemies used to sit? Are they angry because they’ve changed, or because they’re no longer benefitting?”

Charly Boy urged Nigerians to look beyond recycled faces and empty promises and instead demand new values, bold leadership, and genuine national vision.

“2027 should not be about revenge. It should be about rescue. We don’t just need new names—we need new minds and fresh ideas.”

The post has since sparked widespread discussion online, with many Nigerians supporting Charly Boy’s call for deeper political accountability and real change rather than cosmetic alliances.
