Chelsea Confirm £38m Signing of Ajax Star Jorrel Hato on Long-Term Deal

Chelsea have officially completed the signing of Dutch defensive prodigy Jorrel Hato from Ajax in a deal worth £38 million, securing the 19-year-old on a long-term contract that runs until 2032.

The highly-rated centre-back becomes the Blues’ seventh acquisition under new head coach Enzo Maresca, as the club continues its aggressive summer rebuild.

Transfer expert Fabrizio Romano reported that Ajax will receive a total package of €43 million (£37.5m) for the young defender, who was one of the most sought-after talents in the Eredivisie last season.

Speaking to Chelsea’s official media, Hato expressed his excitement about the move:
