Chilling Tweets Linked to Man Accused of Killing Ex-Girlfriend in Lagos Emerge Online

Fresh outrage has trailed the case of Lintex Ogale, a Benue-born man accused of killing his ex-girlfriend, Deborah Moses, in Lagos, after his disturbing old tweets resurfaced online following his arrest.

Ogale allegedly disguised himself as a dispatch rider to gain access to Deborah’s estate. Reports claim he first attempted to sabotage her gas line to cause an explosion but failed. He then allegedly stabbed her multiple times, declaring that “If I can’t have you, no man will.

After news of his arrest broke, Nigerians dug up several of Ogale’s old posts on X (formerly Twitter). In one tweet, he chillingly wrote:
“Na who know person go k!ll am normal.”

In another post, reacting to the arrest of singer Timileyin Ajayi for killing his girlfriend, Ogale commented:
“The guy na just mumu. If everybody start kpai women based on cheating, I’m not sure 10% of them will be left.

The resurfaced tweets have intensified public anger, with many describing the incident as a tragic example of toxic obsession and violence against women. Calls are growing louder for stricter laws to protect women from abusive partners and ex-lovers.

The case has also reignited discussions around online behavior and red flags, as many now question whether Ogale’s disturbing posts could have served as warning signs before the tragedy.
