Afrobeats superstar David Adeleke, popularly known as Davido, recently paid a compassionate visit to his close friend and spiritual mentor, Pastor Tobi Adegboyega, who is currently recuperating from cancer surgery in the United Kingdom.
Pastor Adegboyega, the founder of the Salvation Proclaimers Anointed Church, now rebranded as Nxtion Family, had earlier revealed his cancer diagnosis in a pre-recorded video message. In the video, the UK-based Nigerian pastor spoke candidly about his recent surgery and his resolve to use the experience to drive greater awareness about cancer, especially among the youth.
Demonstrating his continued commitment to that cause, the pastor also pledged a £100,000 donation towards cancer treatment initiatives and support for young patients battling the disease.
Davido, who is in London for a performance alongside Chris Brown, made time to visit the pastor’s residence, accompanied by members of his team. Videos from the meeting, which have since gone viral, show the duo sharing warm moments—enjoying a meal, laughing, and engaging in light-hearted conversation.
