Delta Senator Ned Nwoko Opens State-of-the-Art Mini Stadium in Issele-Uku

Delta North lawmaker, Senator Ned Nwoko, has commissioned a newly completed modern mini stadium in Issele-Uku, describing the project as a symbol of collective progress in the region.

In a post shared on X on Tuesday, Nwoko said the facility was designed to inspire youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community bonds. According to him, the initiative reflects his commitment to youth empowerment and grassroots development.

“This project was conceived to inspire our youths, promote healthy competition, and strengthen community spirit,” Nwoko stated.

The newly unveiled sports facility features a standard football pitch, a seven-a-side multi-sports arena, pavilions on both sides, and fully equipped dressing rooms, creating an enabling environment for sports and recreation.

“For me, every project is about impact—about giving our people access to facilities that uplift, empower, and unite,” he added. “With this stadium, we are nurturing the next generation of athletes and leaders who will make Delta North proud.”

Nwoko reaffirmed his dedication to community growth and infrastructure development, emphasizing that his journey of transformation continues, “one community at a time.”

He has also previously sponsored a bill seeking the establishment and management of ranches across all 774 local government areas and the Federal Capital Territory. The bill aims to promote modern livestock farming, curb open grazing, and enhance food security nationwide.

Photos shared by the senator on X showcased the impressive new facility, which residents have praised as a step forward for sports and youth development in the region.
