“Divine Warning Saved My Family” — RCCG’s Mummy G.O. Recounts How Poisoned Food Was Brought to Their Home on New Year’s Day
Pastor (Mrs.) Folu Adeboye, wife of the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has shared a chilling testimony of how divine intervention saved her family from a potential tragedy on New Year’s Day.
Speaking during a recent church service, the revered matriarch, fondly known as Mummy G.O., recounted how a food gift brought to their home could have ended in disaster had she not heeded a spiritual warning.
According to her, the incident took place on January 1st, when family members and friends gathered at their residence to celebrate the start of the new year. She said someone had brought food into the house, but the moment she saw it, she felt a sudden unease in her spirit.
“Someone brought poisoned food to our house on New Year’s Day when many people were around to celebrate with us,” she recalled. “The moment I saw the food in the kitchen, my spirit was troubled, and I knew there was something wrong.”
Acting on the divine prompting, Mummy G.O. instructed that the food should not be served to anyone. Instead, she asked that it be given to the family dog. Her suspicion was soon confirmed when tragedy struck.
“I told them to give the food to the dog. An hour later, the gateman came to tell me that the dog had died,” she revealed, prompting gasps from the congregation.
Expressing deep gratitude to God for His protection, Pastor Folu emphasized the importance of listening to divine guidance, even in ordinary situations.
“It could have been a disaster if anyone had eaten that food. We must always listen to God’s warnings. The Holy Spirit still speaks, and we must be sensitive enough to hear,” she added.
Her testimony has since sparked conversations among believers, with many praising her spiritual discernment and urging others to stay attuned to divine instructions, especially in uncertain times.
