DJ Cuppy Reacts as Pastor Adeboye Announces Special Prayer for Unmarried Youths

DJ Cuppy, daughter of billionaire Femi Otedola, has sparked social media conversations with her reaction to Pastor Enoch Adeboye’s announcement of a special prayer session for unmarried youths.

The session, revealed on Thursday, October 30, by Pastor Adeboye’s special assistant on Administration, Oladele Balogun, is designed for unmarried youths, mature singles, waiting mothers, and their families. The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) explained that the prayers aim to provide spiritual guidance and support for individuals seeking marital breakthroughs and personal blessings.

Pastor Adeboye highlighted that singles and mature singles constitute over 40% of Nigeria’s adult population, emphasizing the importance of addressing their spiritual and personal needs. This growing demographic inspired the church to organize a dedicated prayer session to foster guidance, spiritual growth, and marital success.

The special prayer is scheduled for November 2 during the November 2025 Thanksgiving Service at The Throne of Grace, RCCG National Headquarters, Ebute-Metta, Lagos, starting at 8:00 a.m. Attendees will gather to seek blessings, divine direction, and personal transformation.

Reacting to the announcement on social media, DJ Cuppy wrote: “When? Am asking for a friend,” a comment that quickly generated buzz among her followers. Her interest in the prayer may be linked to her recent emotional post about her younger sister, Temi, and Temi’s marriage to singer Mr. Eazi, which has drawn attention and sympathy from fans.

The announcement and Cuppy’s playful reaction highlight the growing engagement of young Nigerians with faith-based initiatives addressing personal and marital challenges.
