Dominica Chinwe Accuses Mohbad’s Widow, Wunmi, of False Allegations and Orchestrated Smear Campaign
Dominica Chinwe, who identifies as a close friend of the late Nigerian singer, Mohbad, has come forward with explosive allegations against his widow, Wunmi Aloba.
Speaking in a candid interview with social commentator VeryDarkMan (VDM), Dominica accused Wunmi of launching a malicious campaign that nearly ruined her life and subjected her to emotional trauma.
According to Dominica, the issues began following the controversial NDLEA raid on Mohbad, during which the artist was allegedly assaulted. She claimed that after their release from the NDLEA office, Wunmi pressured her to lie to Mohbad’s former label boss, Naira Marley, by alleging that the agency had poisoned Mohbad.
“Wunmi told me to tell Naira Marley that I saw NDLEA give Mohbad something to drink,” Dominica said. “But I refused. When Naira called, I told him the truth. I saw no such thing.”
Dominica said her refusal angered Wunmi, who later stormed into her home, accusing her of betrayal and yelling threats. She explained that Mohbad had merely requested a drink during the NDLEA incident and drank from a water bottle already on the table, which Dominica said she later drank from as well.
The interview also revealed deeper personal allegations. Dominica claimed that Wunmi falsely accused her of being an anonymous blogger responsible for leaking stories to popular gossip platforms like NaijaEverything.
At one point, Dominica said a blog published a false report alleging she was romantically involved with Mohbad and pregnant with his child a post she believes Wunmi encouraged her to “use for clout.”
“Wunmi was right there when the post came out. I showed it to her, and she told me to ride the wave. I had to contact the blog directly to get it deleted,” she recounted.
Dominica further alleged that Wunmi fed damaging falsehoods to their mutual friends, which led to a violent confrontation involving influencer Papaya and another individual. She described being physically assaulted while others watched and filmed, demanding she confess to things she didn’t do.
“It was humiliating. These were people I had introduced to Wunmi, and she turned them against me,” Dominica said tearfully.
The shocking revelations have reignited public interest in the controversies surrounding Mohbad’s tragic passing and the complex web of personal relationships, accusations, and unanswered questions left in its wake.
