Renowned Nigerian music producer Don Jazzy has publicly criticized a food vendor who gifted him a plate of nkwobi with the hidden intention of securing a free performance by his star artist, Rema.

In a video posted on his Instagram, Don Jazzy shared his frustration, revealing that the vendor, after insisting he accept the nkwobi, later requested that Rema perform for free at her upcoming event.

He expressed his disapproval, warning people against offering him unsolicited gifts.

He remarked humorously but firmly, “You give me nkwobi I didn’t ask for, and now you’re asking me to repay you with Rema? How is that a fair exchange? What’s the conversion rate between Rema and nkwobi?”

Don Jazzy emphasized that such situations are why he avoids accepting free items, as they often come with unreasonable expectations.
