“Don’t send soldiers, give us visas instead” – Nigerian lady pleads with Trump in viral video
A Nigerian lady has caught the attention of social media users after passionately appealing to U.S. President Donald Trump to grant Nigerians free visas instead of sending American troops to the country.
In a TikTok video shared on her account @maryama_ishaq, the young woman said that U.S. military intervention in Nigeria would be “a total waste of time,” insisting that it won’t solve the country’s security problems.
According to her, insecurity in Nigeria affects everyone regardless of religion and what citizens really need is an opportunity to start afresh in a safer environment.
She said:
“USA, Mr. President, if you truly want to help us, please give us visas. Let us come to your country. Leave our politicians alone. Coming to Nigeria is a total waste of time — security is affecting everybody.”
The lady jokingly added that she already has the right accent and would gladly move to the U.S. if visas were made available to all Nigerians.
“We don’t mind becoming U.S. citizens. Just do visas for all of us,” she said.
Her post, captioned “Because I don’t know why everyone is calm war no be children play oo”, has quickly gone viral, sparking thousands of comments and reactions online.
While many users found her plea humorous, others sympathized with her point of view, saying her message reflects the frustration of many Nigerians over the country’s ongoing security challenges.
