Drama as Lucky Udu Tearfully Responds to Sky B Fund Scandal Accusations
Nigerian content creator and activist Lucky Udu has broken down in tears while addressing allegations that he mismanaged donations meant to support veteran singer Sky B.
In a viral video, Udu was seen crying bitterly as he swore on his life that he had never taken money that didn’t belong to him.
“If I take anybody’s money, let me die,” he declared.
The controversy erupted after Udu’s documentary on Sky B once famous for his hit song “Ma Bebe” revealed that the singer now lives in poor conditions in Port Harcourt with his wife and five children, cut off from royalties and even without a phone.
While Udu’s revelations initially drew sympathy and financial help for the struggling musician, accusations soon followed. Some critics alleged he was using Sky B’s plight for clout and had diverted funds raised during the campaign.
The activist has, however, strongly denied the claims.
“These are false accusations! I have never taken what does not belong to me. If I take anybody’s money, may I not live to see tomorrow,” he said in the emotional clip.
The saga has since become one of the hottest trending topics on Nigerian social media, leaving many wondering who is telling the truth.
One thing remains clear: Udu’s statement, “If I take anybody’s money, let me die,” is now at the center of the controversy a phrase that could either clear his name or haunt him in the days to come.
