Drama as Thieves Snatch Pastor’s iPhone 16 During Facebook Live Prayer
A Nigerian woman living in the UK has gone viral after sharing a controversial stance on marriage and finances during a conversation with a friend.
In a social media video, the woman recounted receiving a call from her friend, who asked, “Do you share bills with your husband?” She replied, “Yes,” and was met with the shocking response: “I can never share bills with my husband.”
The woman in the video explained that while her husband previously handled all household expenses when she was not working, he recently asked her to contribute after she started earning.
She rejected the suggestion, insisting that paying bills remains her husband’s responsibility. She added that supporting him voluntarily should not come with any obligation.
The video has sparked a flurry of reactions online. Some commenters criticized her stance, suggesting that refusing to share financial responsibilities could strain a marriage. Chief Nwachinemelu wrote, “She’ll pay full bill when the husband throws her out. Who is she making the money for, if not for the family she has with the husband?”
Others reflected on modern marriage dynamics. SamTayo noted, “I don’t know why splitting bills should be a thing that divides Nigerian couples in the diaspora nowadays. It’s something you can discuss with your husband and settle. Most couples now split bills.”
The viral clip has reignited discussions on financial compatibility and expectations in marriage, especially among Nigerian couples living abroad.
