ESUT Professors Encouraged to Conduct Society-Impactful Research
Professors at Enugu State University of Science and Technology (ESUT) are encouraged to prioritize academic excellence by engaging in research that impacts society positively.
The Vice-Chancellor of ESUT, Prof. Aloysius Michaels Okolie, emphasized this during the University’s 37th inaugural lecture, presented by Prof. Chioma Oleka, at the Prof. Julius Onah Auditorium on the ESUT campus in Agbani.
Represented by his deputy, Prof. Chike Nwoha, the Vice-Chancellor stressed the need for senior academics to conduct society-impactful research. This research would form the foundation of their inaugural lectures, solidifying their status as academic leaders and earning the respect due to their positions in the academic community.
Prof. Okolie assured that the University is committed to supporting senior academic staff who are prepared to undertake such research initiatives.
The 37th ESUT inaugural lecture by Prof. Chioma Oleka focused on the impact of Naira exchange rate depreciation on economic growth, examining its causes, effects, and potential solutions.
