Eva Alordiah Slams Linda Ikeji Over Muted Instagram Repost, Demands Removal of Content.
Nigerian rapper and creative entrepreneur, Eva Alordiah, has publicly called out popular celebrity blogger Linda Ikeji over an Instagram repost that omitted the original soundtrack she included in her video.
The controversy began after Eva posted a heartfelt video showcasing her peaceful life in a rural village and her plans to launch a catfish farming business with her family. The post, which featured her own track “Focus Focus Focus” as background music, highlighted a return to simplicity and a shift in lifestyle priorities.
In her caption, Eva wrote:
“POV: While everyone is trying to japa to the UK and Canada, you’ve japa’d to the village to live on the farm and care for your parents. Everything is flowing, flowing, flowing!”
She also announced:
“We have 10,000+ catfish available for smoked fish bulk orders. Serious buyers only. Follow and DM or WhatsApp us via @remasonfarms.”
However, tensions flared when Linda Ikeji’s platform reposted the video with the audio muted—removing Eva’s song entirely. Reacting furiously via her Instagram Stories, Eva accused the media mogul of exploiting her content without proper credit or permission.
In a series of heated messages, Eva expressed her frustration:
“@lindaikeji, with all due disrespect, don’t ever post my content! You muted my music—my own work. That’s unacceptable. If you can’t post it in its original form, take it down immediately.”
She further accused Linda Ikeji’s platform of a long-standing pattern of using creatives for clout without offering real support, claiming this behavior contributed to her decision to step back from the entertainment industry years ago.
Eva’s fiery remarks included a warning to those attempting to use her work without acknowledgment:
“This is a different timeline. I am not the Eva Alordiah you used to know. Don’t play with me.”
As of the time of this report, Linda Ikeji has not issued any public response.
The incident has sparked a larger conversation on intellectual property rights and respect for creative ownership within Nigeria’s digital media space.
