Evan Okoro Cries Out: ‘My Husband Is Threatening My Life’
Nollywood actress Evan Okoro has made a public appeal for help, claiming that her husband, Prince Chibuzor Nwachimelueze, is threatening her life. In an emotional and now-viral video, the actress said she is living in fear and is seeking to end the marriage for her safety.
The couple had a traditional wedding on April 13, 2025, in Okoro’s hometown. However, the actress now alleges that the union has turned toxic. Speaking directly to the camera, Okoro said, “My life is more important to me.
The shoe that I took home is not my size. I’m living in fear. Something strong is happening to me. If I don’t come out to say it, I don’t know where I will be tomorrow. He’s threatening my life. I don’t want the marriage anymore. I’ve been living in fear since.”
According to her, she has already filed a petition against her husband and he was at the police station as she made her public plea. Okoro stressed that despite attempts to resolve the matter, she is unable to continue in the relationship and wants to walk away for her safety and peace of mind.
She also revealed that her bride price has not been paid. Her family has reportedly reached out to Chibuzor Nwachimelueze for the payment, but to no avail.
Okoro alleged that the man married her under the false assumption that she is wealthy, citing the house she built before marriage as evidence. “This guy married me thinking that I’ve money to spend. When he came into my life, I thought it was all love and I saw the way it was going,” she explained.
The actress further claimed that since their wedding, the couple has not been intimate and that despite informing his family, no action has been taken to address the situation. She warned her husband to stay away from her and her family, stressing that she no longer wishes to continue with the marriage under any circumstances.
