Funke Akindele’s much-anticipated movie, Everybody Loves Jenifa, has set a new milestone in Nollywood by becoming the highest-grossing Nigerian film of all time amassing over ₦1.6 billion at the box office since its release in December 2024.
The film, a continuation of the popular Jenifa franchise, launched with a record-breaking ₦45.2 million on opening day and grossed ₦207 million in its first five days shattering previous Nigerian cinema records. By the end of December 2024 it had surpassed ₦1 billion achieving this feat faster than any other Nollywood title to date.

Everybody Loves Jenifa maintained its top position for seven consecutive weekends, demonstrating remarkable staying power at cinemas nationwide.
