Ex APC Vice Chairman Predicts Defections from the Party.
The ex-Vice Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC) in Edo State, Francis Inegbineki, has predicted a significant wave of defections within the party, referring to it as a “Tsunami” as more members prepare to switch sides.
In a press briefing held in Benin City, Inegbineki dismissed rumors suggesting a change in his decision to leave the party.
Following his resignation from APC, which was announced on Friday, the former APC senatorial candidate in the 2015 general elections highlighted that additional party members are poised to follow suit shortly.
During the conference, he hinted at an imminent exodus of more individuals from the party, foreshadowing a time of political transitions within the APC ranks.
According to him,
“I didn’t rescind my decision, and I stand by my resignation. A tsunami will soon happen in APC. I am only leading the way.
“I stand by my resignation from the APC, and I cease to be a member.
“I saw my photograph with the APC governorship candidate on social media, suggesting that I have rescinded my decision to quit APC.
“Yes, it is true that Senator Monday Okpebholo visited me after I turned in my resignation letter because they know that an Iroko has fallen”.
