FCT Police Deny Involvement in VeryDarkMan’s Alleged NGO Fraud Case

The Federal Capital Territory (FCT) Police Command has clarified that they are not aware of nor involved in investigating the alleged disappearance of ₦160 million from the account of an NGO owned by social media commentator Martins Otse, popularly known as VeryDarkMan.

VeryDarkMan had alleged that the funds were fraudulently transferred and claimed to have recovered ₦20 million using a Post No Debit order.

However, critics have questioned the authenticity of his claims, and the police have now distanced themselves from the matter.

In a statement, Josephine Adeh, the spokesperson for the FCT Police Command, said that the command had no record of such a case and advised VeryDarkMan to clarify where the matter was reported.

The incident has sparked widespread public attention and debate, with many calling for greater transparency and accountability in the handling of NGO funds.

The controversy surrounding VeryDarkMan’s allegations continues to unfold, with some supporters sympathizing with him while others remain skeptical.

The FCT Police Command’s denial of involvement in the case adds another layer of complexity to the saga, and it remains to be seen how the matter will be resolved.
