The Falcons claimed their 10th WAFCON crown on Saturday, July 26, after an exhilarating 3–2 comeback win over host country Morocco at the Stade Olympique in Rabat, reaffirming Nigeria’s dominance in women’s football on the continent.

President Tinubu lauded the team as a symbol of Nigeria’s resilience, excellence, and unity. He emphasised the importance of celebrating and rewarding talent and dedication, especially when it uplifts the spirit of the nation.
