Former Super Eagles Coach Salisu Yusuf Appointed Head Coach of Benin’s Coton FC Ahead of CAF Confederation Cup Campaign

Former Super Eagles coach Salisu Yusuf has officially taken over as the head coach of Beninese club Coton FC which finished second in the Benin Premier League last season and is set to compete in the CAF Confederation Cup next season.

Yusuf, 63, joined Coton FC after leaving his position at Nigeria Premier Football League side Nasarawa United.

where he helped the team avoid relegation during the 2024/25 season and reached the semi-final of the Federation Cup. This marks Yusuf’s first managerial role outside Nigeria.

Coton FC under French coach Victor Zvunka last season, finished second behind Dadje FC and will look to build on that performance as they prepare for domestic and continental competitions.
